Richard and Nathalie Peverley will be holding the 2nd Annual PEVS Protects Fundraiser in support of Heart & Stroke on Friday, February 24th, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph when the Guelph Storm play the Erie Otters.  Show your support by attending the game or make a donation today to support the placement of life-saving AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) in Guelph as well as CPR and AED training for residents of all ages.  This campaign was established by the Peverleys to raise awareness about the importance of AEDs and CPR training and to help improve the survival rate after sudden cardiac arrest in Ontario.
Every year in Canada, up to 40,000 sudden cardiac arrests (SCA) occur. Up to 85 per cent of these happen in public places. For every minute that passes without action, a person’s chance of surviving drops by seven to 10 per cent. However, fast CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AED use within the first minutes can double the chance of survival.

Buy your Guelph Storm tickets now and $3 from your purchase will go directly to PEVS Protects.

Update: The 50/50 winner at the PEVS Protects Storm game was Andrew Arthur Gordon Bolton. Congratulations!
